Types of Usenet Newsgroups

Usenet Newsgroups are paid or free usenet groups that can be accessed using usenet news reader. These usenet group are good for some people if they are moderated and taken care of.However , some people argue against moderated newgroups and they argue for the freedom of speech and minimization of censorship.Very few newsgroups are moderated, meaning that messages submitted by readers are not distributed directly to Usenet, but instead are emailed to the moderators of the newsgroup for approval. The moderators receive submitted articles, review those submitted articles, screen them, proof read and check them, and pass approved articles for publishing so that they are properly propagated worldwide. Approved articles are marked with Approved: header line. Besides that moderators also ensure that the messages that readers see in the newsgroup are in accordance with and comply with the charter of the newsgroup, though they are not required to follow any such rules or guidelines.Normally, moderators are recruited in the proposal for the newsgroup, and changes of moderators follow a proper succession plan.
